Who processes your data?

This online shop is operated from Esso Cartesiusweg, Cartesiusweg 127, 3534 BC Utrecht, the Netherlands. For privacy questions, contact info@essoutrecht.nl or +31 (0)30 243 9204.

What data do we process?

  • your name, billing address, delivery or pickup information, email address and telephone number;
  • order, payment, return and correspondence information;
  • account information when you create an account;
  • technical data such as your IP address, browser information, security data and cookie data.

Why do we process this data?

We use personal data to process orders and payments, arrange pickup, provide customer service, manage accounts, prevent fraud and misuse, and comply with tax, administrative and alcohol legislation. The legal basis is performance of the agreement, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in operating a secure online shop.

Payments and other recipients

Payments are processed by Mollie. The information required to complete the payment and prevent fraud is shared for this purpose. Data may also be processed by our hosting and IT service providers and, only where necessary, advisers or competent public authorities. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention periods

We retain order and invoice information for as long as required by tax and administrative legislation. Other data is not retained for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. You may request deletion of your account; information we are legally required to retain will then be kept solely for that purpose.

Cookies

The shop uses functional and security cookies required for the cart, checkout, language selection, account login and fraud prevention. We request prior consent before using non-essential cookies where required.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer of your data or object to processing. Send your request to info@essoutrecht.nl. We may request additional information to verify your identity. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Security and changes

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. This policy may change when the shop, suppliers or legislation change. The latest version is always published on this page.
